Frequently asked questions

What does the m²/desk ratio mean?

The m²/desk ratio represents the total area divided by the number of workstations. It includes not only the desk itself, but also circulation, common areas (meeting rooms, break rooms) and ancillary spaces. A ratio of 10 m²/desk is considered a good comfort standard.

What is the hot-desking ratio?

The hot-desking ratio indicates the ratio between the number of desks and headcount. At 70%, you have 70 desks for 100 employees. This assumes that not everyone is present at the same time (remote work, travel, leave). This ratio depends on your HR policies and your business activity.

Are these estimates reliable?

This calculator provides a ballpark figure based on standard ratios. For a real project, many factors come into play: building layout, technical constraints, regulations, business specifics... A bespoke study is essential before signing a lease.
